Representing the beauty of Bali through facial expressions, FACES of Bali is a showcase of memoirs in form of enthralling still-framed images; both paintings and photogaphy alike.
The collective art group #GNDLMGLJ returns to showcase their new artcrafts through ‘FACES of BALI’ exhibition. Held in conjunction with Little Talks Ubud first anniversary this event wish to remind us of the beauty of Bali through its people and their graceful memoirs.
The concept behind FACES of Bali—or #RekamWajah as they called it in Indonesian, sparks from the idea that the camera can capture more than just human faces or figures to represent what’s happening in the island of Bali.
The uniqueness and timeless beauty of Bali is mostly represented through the expression of Balinese female dancers in their glorious ritual costumes; compiled from some of local aspiring artists from Arzelita Linando (painters), Joe Christian (photographers) to Ruth Onduko (photographers). This engaging exhibition was opened on August 9th 2017 at Little Talks Ubud and displayed until August 31st 2017.
